Faculty & Tutor
Anh is a passionate educator who aims to elevate student success. Anh graduated from Concordia University in Chicago with an MA in TESOL. She has more than three years of experience tutoring ESL students for both general and academic English. Anh enjoys listening to music and watching movies in her free time. Learn more about Anh!
Claire is both an avid learner and teacher/tutor. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with an MS in Education, the University of Illinois (BA), and the Art Institute of Chicago (BFA). Claire is an excellent resource for ways to find success in higher education. Her hobbies include travel, reading, and music.
Fei received her PhD in Second Language Studies from Michigan State University. Her research interests include second language learning and teaching, vocabulary acquisition, and task-based language teaching. Fei taught for the TESOL master’s program at the University of Indianapolis. She also taught various levels in China and in the U.S. Fei speaks Mandarin, English, and German. Learn more about Fei!
Jacob is an aspiring educator who enjoys working with ESL/international students. He graduated from CSU, Sacramento with an MA in TESOL, and has taught freshmen-level composition at CSU, Sacramento. Jacob also has three years of tutoring experience as an instructional assistant (IA) at Cosumnes River College (CRC), where he assisted native English speakers and ESL learners from various countries, including China, Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Mexico. Assistant Director, Faculty & Tutor
Jeremy is responsible for developing, managing, and leading language, academic, career, and cultural support services on Northeastern University’s West Coast regional campuses. Additionally, he serves as faculty for GLS and the Global Pathways program on the Seattle campus. Jeremy has a Doctorate in Education, an MA in Applied Linguistics & TESOL, and a BA in English Studies. He enjoys traveling, learning new languages, and playing the piano. Learn more about Jeremy!
Richard holds a BA from Seattle University with a major in French and a minor in history. He has tutored English and French for a wide variety of learners as well as taught high school and middle school English in France. He is passionate about medieval history, (almost) anything music-related, and language. He is currently learning Spanish. Learn more about Richard!
Faculty & Tutor
Ruth is passionate about working with students and has taught ESL for over 30 years. She has run programs in Japan, Spain, England, New Zealand, Canada, and the U.S. Ruth has an MA in Education from the Open University in the U.K., a Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults from Cambridge University, and two BAs from the University of Washington.
